Backflow Preventer Services

Have you received a letter from your local water department about installing a mandated backflow prevention device? Local and federal governments are beginning to enforce back flow preventers in a wide range of settings. Waterworks Plumbing is licensed and certified to install and test all sizes of back flow preventers. We hold a University of North Florida TREEO testing certification.

What is a Backflow Preventer?

A backflow preventer is installed to prevent potable water pipes from contamination in the event of a low pressure or no pressure incident. Potable water can only flow in one direction through a properly installed device. A backflow preventer is installed where the water main enters your home or business before any of the fixtures.
